The Lexus LFR is being showcased at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The carmaker has brought a pre-production test mule to the event, which will be driving up the hill alongside the GT3-spec racing version.
During a recent run, we heard the LFR’s V8 fire up and rev properly for the first time. The engine makes a deep, throaty rumble, almost like a V8 muscle car. During the post-run interviews, we also got a glimpse of the LFR’s interior.
The cabin looks production-ready in this screenshot from the livestream. The prototype LFR has a two-tone interior finished in red and black leather upholstery. It has carbon fibre seats and a central touchscreen with a row of physical switches below it.
The Lexus LFR is said to be the brand’s next flagship sports car. It is expected to be powered by a brand-new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with a hybrid system. The internal combustion engine is said to produce around 720 hp, while the hybrid will provide another 180 hp.
